What I Ate Wednesday

Since the last ‘What I Ate Wednesday’ my eating habits have changed a little. Basically, my appetite just isn’t there so I don’t really snack anymore. I have to have small and frequent meals now because if I had something big it fills me up for about 2 days!

You can imagine how hard it was to get through Christmas dinner, emergency naps were needed.

Anyway here is what I ate:

Breakfast:

For breakfast I was in a bit of a rush this morning so I wanted something that I didn’t have to put too much effort into. 

I had strawberry yoghurt topped with strawberries and walnuts. Also who can start the day without a nice cup of tea?

Lunch:

For lunch I had a cheese and ham toastie… and then I had another (sorry not sorry).

I had breakfast at about 11am and then I was out of the house until 4pm and the first one was just too nice not to have another.

Melted cheese is my fave.

Dinner:

Me and Ash have this kind of meal plan menu to make our weekly food shop easier and, to make sure that we don’t eat too much of one thing and not a lot of another and today is Fish day.

We both had lightly dusted yellow fin sole (garlic & herb) fish creations, I had mine with salad & coleslaw whereas Ash had his with brown rice.

I don’t usually eat fish, if we didn’t have this menu which made me have it on certain days I probably never would.

If you struggle with balancing meals I definitely recommend making yourself a little menu like us and having certain days for things like pasta, fish or chicken and the likes.

pregnacare_30__85000_zoomI always have my Pregnacare vitabiotic with my main meal, without this I probably wouldn’t have a great deal of Iron in my diet.

Snacks:

If you have been keeping up with my weekly updates you will know that I have been suffering with heartburn quite a lot. I absolutely hate the taste of Gaviscon so I have found that having milk really helps me instead, so every night before I go to sleep I always have a glass of cold milk.

I start to feel quite sick at night time so I either have crisps or toast at night time, something which is quite filling so that I don’t wake up feeling hungry or sick in the night. Plus McCoys are super delicious…
