26 Week Pregnancy Update

26 Weeks

 

 

How far along:
27 weeks.

 

Days until due date:
91 days.

My bump:
Feeling really huge at the moment. Also other people are starting to notice a lot more, I’ve had two people ask me when I’m due this week!

Weight changes:
Not quite sure at the moment as my scales have broken… which isn’t a good sign.

 

Stretch marks?
Nope, not yet still putting on Palmers Cocoa Butter every night before bed over my belly, boobs, hips & back.

 

Cravings:
I haven’t had anything this week which is strange.

 

Sleep:
Honestly, sleeping this week has been a bit of a nightmare. I have had the worst back pain in the world and it has really been bothering me this week. Also I keep waking up with lots of pressure in my lower abdomen, it’s only 2 days until I see the midwife so I will let you know what she says is the cause!

 

Symptoms:
Again, I have just had a tiny bit of sickness this week but nothing too drastic. The only major symptom this week has been back ache and the pain/ache/pressure (I’m not sure how exactly to describe it) in my lower belly. I’ve also been having a little more heartburn this week at night but I have yet to turn to gaviscon for help, I can usually ignore it and fall asleep then it’s gone in the morning.
Best moment this week:
Putting the baby’s cot up, his room finally looks like a nursery and I love it!

Worst moment this week:
I woke up with a banging headache on Sunday and that made me very sick when I managed to roll out of bed. Then I was just in the worst mood for the rest of the day which is annoying because it’s one of the only full days me and Ash get together.


Miss anything?
Not having backache.

 

Maternity clothes:
I am definitely running low on normal loose baggy clothes as my bump grows bigger. I’m going to see if I get any clothes or money for my birthday and go from there.

 

Movement:
Lots of rolling, kicking and hiccups.

 

Gender:
BOY 🙂

 

Belly button in/out:
It is slowly changing shape and getting flatter so it is definitely on its way to popping.

 

Mood:
I’ve been feeling really good this week again, I’ve been keeping really busy cleaning and have also made an effort to eat a little bit healthier this week. I think I’m going to do a blog post later this week on how I’ve been trying to improve my diet and the meals I’ve been eating.

 

Looking forward to: 
Seeing the midwife, I have lots of questions for her and she starts measuring my belly this week!
