How far along: 17 weeks.
Days until due date: 161 days.
My bump: Definitely got a little bump now, switched to maternity clothes at work and people have been noticing it poking through! 🙂
Weight changes: 7st 11 (+3lbs).
Stretch marks? Nope, not so far! Still using my Nivea Body In-Shower Lotion and putting on Palmers Cocoa Butter every night before bed over my belly, boobs, hips & back.
Cravings: PIZZA, I used to absolutely hate pizza before I was pregnant but at the moment I can’t seem to get enough of it.
Sleep: Still feeling really sleepy, I have been getting up at like 12 each day no matter what time I have been going to bed it’s a little bit ridiculous. Ash also bought me a pregnancy pillow and it is the best thing in the whole wide world, my back pain isn’t nearly as bad when I wake up now because I cuddle one side and keep the other pushed up against my back to keep it supported, Bliss.
Symptoms: Still had a little bit of sickness a couple of mornings this past week. I also saw the midwife on Wednesday and when I explained my back pain to her and how painful it was she said that it sounds like I have pelvic girdle pain. She gave me a leaflet on it but, I am going to see the doctor soon to see if he can suggest anything else to help because it is really painful even when doing everyday tasks.
Best moment this week: We got to hear the little ones heartbeat thundering away at the midwife appointment which was pretty amazing, even though she didn’t let us listen to it for that long! I am going to try and get a recording of it at the next appointment if she will let me as it is really reassuring to hear.
Worst moment this week: Nothing really comes to mind straight away, I would probably just say the back pain at work one night this week. It was super painful and then I had to make an extra bed up, lots of leaning and bending involved in that one YAY MY FAVE and then people kept asking for tea & coffee (MORE BENDING OVER YAAAAY).
Miss anything? Not feeling tired, it would be really nice if some days I didn’t feel like I needed a nap an hour after I got up.
Maternity clothes: I got some new super stretch maternity leggings this week and they are the best, also got a loose top and floaty maternity cardigan. I have had to give up wearing my normal work trousers as they don’t even button up any more and with the buttons undone they keep trying to fall down so I am wearing a stretchy skirt and my maternity work top.
Movement: I am pretty sure I felt the baby doing little somersaults but it is really hard to decide whether they actually are or not! I feel like I am just waiting for the baby to move and I’m so excited for it to happen that I could mistake anything for baby movements.
Gender: Don’t know yet, our next scan is on the 5th of October (Only 21 days).
Belly button in/out: In but it is starting to feel really hard and weird around it, totally odd.
Mood: I’ve been feeling really, really good lately just, like I have mentioned, quite sleepy and sluggish. Although, I have managed to get a few more things sorted around the house and slowly clearing out the baby’s room this week which has made me happy.
Looking forward to: Being off next weekend after I had to work all this weekend and didn’t get to see Ashley very much.
